....or why else would they be painting the ocean blue

2008 satillite image.. compare with google's 2009 update

Thanks to the 250 VOTERS who turned out! - Nov. 2008

Hello, , , Bonjour, , , , Hola, Szia, , , Buna ziua, Selamat pagi, , Nazdar, , Päivää, Guten Tag, Aloha, Buon giorno, Ba'ax ka wa'alik, Sekoh, Bom dia, Jambo, God dag, Bore da, Merhaba,

Hello fellow CITIZENS, & CANDIDATES;
VANCOUVER is STILL POLLUTING the OCEAN with TOXIC SEWAGE

  • 780 million liters per day!!!

It's NECESSARY TO ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY, for our environment & children's world; something we all should be able to agree on.

I have a diverse scientific background and urge to get this done, which in 1994 Jean Chrétien approved funding for. This calls for responsible use of available federal funding.

Beyond voiced concerns, submissions by citizens, & everything mentioned in my 2005 campaign,

I support:

  • More great organic COMMUNITY GARDENS.
  • A Free Vancouver Bus & An All-Night SkyTrain run.
  • Healthier food in schools to promote nutritional interest/education.
  • Sanitary streets, alleys, & public water/washrooms.
  • Friendly discussion & hearings between communities and city government.
  • Emergency response plans.
  • SEWAGE TREATMENT, preserving coastal marine environment

Next election's in 2011 so vote wisely.
Thank-you all voters & volunteers!

November 15, 2008 - Vote Joe Hatoum for Mayor of Vancouver

Fixing The Sewage Problem is Vancouver's #1 Opportunity to Improve

In the satellite photo above, you can see the sewage patch visibly stretching half way to the island; but it goes well beyond just that.

During my last run for mayor in 2005, I received a letter from a concerned citizen & North Vancouver Candidate. Dave Sadler, brought the growing sewage problem to my attention.

The image below was released mid-February 2008, showing the state of the Earths oceans having Very High Damage Levels; A side effect of the reckless activities industrialization and municipalities are irresponsibly allowing.

" I want to make a list of all the problems and go down that list until all the problems are solved.
With me as mayor, the People's voice will speak from City Hall."
